My Students
I teach at a public charter school in Camden, New Jersey. I teach 18 amazing, courageous, and intelligent 3rd graders who are learning how to return to in-person learning. After being away for over a year, all of my kiddos are SO excited to be back.
My students love hands-on learning opportunities.
My 3rd graders are eager to demonstrate the topics they've mastered and the topics that they freshly learned. It is my mission to make sure I provide them with the tools they need to do just that.
My Project
The materials on this list are all early-reader books, and early-reader chapter books. Several of my students experienced literacy loss during the course of the pandemic. In order to rebuild those skills, it is important that I have level-appropriate books that encourage them to develop a passion for reading.
Especially since we do not have a school library, I am determined to provide my students with a wide variety of books that suit their abilities and interests.
These books will allow me to deliver level-appropriate books that are still engaging for my students within our own classroom library.
