My students need middle school science materials and kits. The DNA extraction kit and the Quick Plant kit will be a huge hit with Biology students. The 2 chemistry kits will be a huge plus too!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school is a small K-8 Public school serving a low economic neighborhood. Our students love Science especially Science labs! This is the first year we will have both a 7th and 8th grade Science lab. Most families choose to transfer their children to our school. Others live in the neighborhood. Students are from many different cultures and approximately one half speak English as a second language. A large majority of our students come from lower income families and qualify for free or reduced priced lunch.
My Project
This project will enable all our 7th and 8th grade students to experience all the Science Labs suggested by our curriculum! Our school has very few supplies and equipment for our Middle School Science students. We currently have no lab kits.
The DNA extraction kit and the Wisconsin Fast Plants will substantially enhance the experiences of our seventh graders taking Life Science.
The Molecular structure model and the Chemical reaction product are sure to make Chemistry concepts concrete and engaging.
Also in the proposal are supplies that are critical to many experiments. In many cases these are supplies that are essential to experiments that we couldn't otherwise offer.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
