This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are the heart of our school – full of energy, creativity, and a desire to connect and make lasting memories. They thrive on the shared experiences that school events like dances provide. These moments are crucial for building school spirit and a sense of belonging, especially in a school where 75% of our students have significant needs.

Currently, providing special touches like a photo booth at our dances comes at a high cost, typically $1000-$1300 to rent for just one event.

This is a considerable expense that impacts our ability to keep events affordable and accessible for all students. It also limits how often we can offer this fun activity.

Funding a school-owned photo booth will be a game-changer. Each requested item – the camera, printer, backdrop, and props – will work together to create a permanent source of joy and memories at all our future events, from dances to pep rallies and more. This initial investment eliminates those recurring rental fees, saving our school significant money in the long run.

These savings can then be redirected to support other vital student needs. More importantly, owning a photo booth means consistent access to a beloved activity that encourages positive social interaction, builds school community, boosts confidence as students pose and express themselves, and provides them with instant, cherished keepsakes of their school years.

By contributing to this project, you're not just providing equipment; you're investing in countless smiles, unforgettable moments, and the vibrant spirit of our student community for years to come. You're helping us create joyful, affordable events that every student deserves to experience.
