My Project
I am requesting an xTool Laser Cutter Fume Extractor for my Robotics and CTE classes as well as several clubs I sponsor at my high school. My students are eagerly looking forward to the new Foundations of Robotics course, as well as several robotics and computer science-based clubs this year.
The Laser Cutter Fume Extractor will be used by students to run the laser cutter in the classroom and create artwork to enhance their new workspace, as well as fundraise for clubs.
Students will learn how to design and create projects that can be brought to life using the laser cutter. As robotics equipment and robotics competitions are expensive, students are always finding ways to raise funds to upgrade their materials and pay for competition registration fees.
The fume extractor will allow students from several clubs that I sponsor - Robotics, Skills USA, CyberPatriots, and Computer Science Honor Society to use the laser cutter in my classroom. All these clubs are required to fundraise to help cover costs for competitions and materials or subscriptions they may need. The laser cutter will give them the opportunity to use their creativity to make objects to help fundraise.
