This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I will be introducing the Building Thinking Classroom and I need 8 separate boards so the students can work at the same time, and not see each groups work. The goal is to have them more actively engaged in their learning, problem solving and discussing with their group of three, sharing ideas as they problem solve. While this is new to my classroom and students, this is something that is research based and proven to increase mastery and understanding of the math standards. The groups change randomly each day, so they are always problem solving with a new group.
