My students need a touchscreen monitor to access cause-and-effect software.

My Students
Some of my students have severe disabilities, including traumatic brain injuries. Due to their lack of fine and gross motor skills, some of them are unable to use a standard keyboard or mouse. These students need a touch screen to be able to activate cause-and-effect software.
My school is in a lower socioeconomic neighborhood.
Ninety-seven percent of the students at our school qualify for free lunches. Very few of my students have phones or computers at home. We have two computers in our classroom. However, neither of them has a touch screen. I have one student who has suffered a traumatic brain injury due to an aneurysm. She is unable to control her limbs, breath on her own or even swallow. She uses a respirator and a feeding tube. If we had a touchscreen to use, we could offer hand-over-hand assistance to her, assisting her in activating cause-and-effect software.
My Project
My students need a large touch screen monitor. The technology of a touch screen computer monitor will allow my students the experience of activating cause-and-effect software. They will learn that when they touch the screen, music plays or fireworks go off. They will experience both visual and auditory stimulation. With this stimulation, their brains will become more active and they will be more engaged in their surroundings. My students do not have computers at home. Providing them with computers they can activate at school will vastly enrich their lives.
This project is important because my students do not have many of the luxuries that so much of the world takes for granted.
They would greatly benefit from the physical and mental engagement that would be offered to them through the use of a touch screen.
This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
