Laptops for Learning

My students need a laptop and mouse to enable access to all of the online resources available.

My Students

Our school has over 500 students. We have less than 10 computers in the media center that often do not work. More and more resources are online. We are at a disadvantage when we cannot access the Internet.

The State of Georgia has adopted the Common Core Curriculum which requires increased rigor and the use of digital resources.

My students are at a distinct disadvantage when technology is needed to support their learning. They have more access in the home than in the classroom. I am trying to close the gap.

My Project

My students are growing up with technology in the home. We, the school, need to close the gap between home and school and provide the necessary equipment. I am requesting a laptop to enable my students to access the adopted art text. Dekalb County adopted an E-books for the art class textbook. We need access to our resources.

More access to the latest resources will help my students increase their level of academic achievement.

They will have immediate access to the necessary resources. I will be able to enrich lessons by using the adopted text series.
