My Students
During the pandemic, many students and teachers have no choice but working from home. However, many of students do have access to computers at home. The school itself does not have enough computers to accommodate the needs of the students. Therefore, some laptops can make a very big difference in our daily class operation. They will allow students to maintain their required time on the math programs to enhance learning.
Diversity is the key to our success.
We are a very diverse school and all the ethnic groups feel at home when they are in the school facility. During the school events, all the ethnic groups blend together with the collaboration of the staff to form one strong community. We are a Title I school. Over 95% of our students come from low-income families. As a result, a large majority of our student population is under free or reduced-price lunch based on income. We take advantage of our diversity to create a good learning environment.
My Project
The school tried its best to provide some laptops to students to access virtual school. However, many of those laptops are not working properly because they are old version. As a result, many students cannot attend class because of a computer device. Many of those students are eager to learn but the parents cannot afford a computer device.
Some laptops will make a difference.
Some students need no longer to miss school just because of a computer. The laptops can be assigned to the ones in need in term of a loan, they must return them at any time upon my request.
