My Students

As a speech-language pathologist, I work with students from a variety of different backgrounds with speech and language difficulties.

These students have special needs and have been referred by parents or staff to receive extra help in the area of speech/language.

My Project

Working during a pandemic in a low socio-economic district with consistent school budget cuts, we are expected to work with old technology that does not work and does not do what is needed for our students.

With this laptop, I would be able to better engage in online learning with my students and better create activities for my students that would allow them to more efficiently communicate and target their speech/language goals.

I work with special needs students who often have unique needs, such as using communication boards. These needs require for me to have proper technology, that I currently do not have. It would make such a difference to me and my students if I was able to have an updated, working laptop so that I would be able to create communication boards and other communication visuals for my students.
