This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are a wonderful group of third graders. They come to school ready and eager to learn; however, we are Title I school and have a high population of low income families, some of whom are living at or near the poverty level. Because our families are on very limited budgets, some students don't have backpacks to hold their school supplies. Yet, our families love and care very much for their children and want the best education for them. Our students deserve to have every opportunity to be academically successful.
My Project
Please help my wonderful class get an updated laptop. My third graders are still sharing laptops because we don’t have enough for my whole class. If my project gets funded, my students can use the updated laptop to do science research. We are studying the planets, constellations and the moon. They need to gather information from web sites and search for specific information. It would be so wonderful if my students could use a new laptop that quickly uploads information. Please help my students get the updated laptop they need to help them become scientists, astronomers or star seekers.
