This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Technology is the wave of the future and I want to get my students prepared, but first we need a laptop.
I am a teacher in an East Harlem neighborhood.
Many of my students come from low income homes. Some of my students live in shelters. They have it rough for such a young age. One thing they all have in common is that they love school and learning. Many of them do not have access to a computer at home.
My Project
My students love to learn and explore. If we had a laptop my students could learn to navigate the worldwide web. They could use the laptop to go on educational sites to practice reading and math skills. They can research and learn about animals and places during our nonfiction unit. They can also use Microsoft word to type their stories.
Having this laptop would be so great.
My students would get to explore and learn so much more. They would be able to learn how to surf the web, improve their academic skills, and become more technologically advanced. Please donate to my project and help us get a laptop for our classroom.
