Help me give my students a laptop for our classroom. I will be teaching half of my kindergarten kiddos in class and half at home. I don't have a working laptop in my classroom to teach them from.
I am a teacher in a high poverty school district. All students in my school receive free lunch. My students face challenges in and out of the classroom. We are a diverse classroom with twenty-six active and energetic students from many backgrounds. Some of my students have special needs, IEPs, and receive speech and O.T. within the school setting. There is also a wide range of academic abilities in my classroom.
Not only are my students eager to learn and always try their hardest to do their best; they deserve the best!
They love coming to school because they want to learn all they can to be successful in life. We strive daily to balance our learning goals and objectives with fun and exploration.
My Project
My laptop at school stopped working. I do not have a laptop to teach my kindergarten kiddos who are learning remotely. I am using an iPad mini to teach and see them on Google Meets. It is very hard to see all 16 of my students who are at home from the iPad while I also teach 9 students in the classroom. It is also very difficult to share my screen with them when I am teaching.
Getting a new laptop will help my learners while I am teaching them our curriculum.
It will also be easier for me to teach and share my screen with them while I am also teaching the students that are in my classroom.
