My Students

I teach an amazing group of 3rd graders in Northwest Las Vegas! I get to greet 23 adorable faces every morning on our Google Meets, and they teach me as much as I'm teaching them! These students are so eager to learn! They have just completed their fourth week of digital learning, and they have literally amazed me with their positive attitudes and patience with this process. This project will help enhance online learning for my students. I want to make this distance learning experience as positive as possible.

My awesome class is hardworking and enthusiastic about learning.

I believe they will be even more engaged if I could improve my technology. My laptop is very old and slow but I need it in order to use my document camera. If I were able to have a reliable laptop then I could do so much more. I could share stem activities with my students! We are all missing the hands-on activities in the classroom, but I believe that I could still excite them by projecting projects on the screen, and create simple STEM projects that they can do along side me from the safety of their homes.

My Project

Donating to this project with help me bring STEM projects to my students! I will be able to display projects in front of my students virtually using a document camera and have them do science along with me from home. If I receive this laptop, I will be able to bring hands-on learning to my students from a distance! I currently have a borrowed school Chromebook but I cannot hook a document camera to it. My personal technology is outdated and I cannot do everything I want to with my students. This will be so helpful to my virtual teaching! It will make science come alive!
