Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our students are wonderful with technology. They are able to fix broken computer parts and do basic troubleshooting. They are also helping out with promoting the school's many wonderful programs.
Our students are hard working and love to use technology.
They are self motivated and creative. Our students have also found a great way to keep themselves busy and learning even after school hours through various after school clubs hosted by our generous teachers.
My Project
Students would like to use the laptop to edit video for promotional purposes. They would like to be able to create a commercial like video for use on the school website and other social media, to promote the wonderful programs at the school. It will be a way for other students to get informed about what is going on, as well as for potential students to see what they have to look forward to at our middle school. The video would be very student oriented and concepts, video direction and acting will be student run.
It is our hope that the process of creating the video will be a learning experience from start to finish.
The finished product will also be something for other students to enjoy and hopefully gain more interest in school programs. The laptop will assist in providing the technology piece needed for video editing.
