This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
This year is my third year as the "art on a cart" art teacher at my school. I want to inspire the children to explore different materials and create fantastic works of art, but I need teaching materials to do that.I work in a school in Brooklyn that has over 900 students. I work with children from pre-k to fifth grade. My students are amazing and they teach me something new every day. They are talented, curious, and they love to experiment and learn new techniques as they express their ideas through art.
My Project
My art students and I need a new laptop to utilize in the art room. They can greatly benefit from having access to resources, references and video tutorials at their very own finger tips. As the "art on a cart" art teacher I will be able to create videos and Powerpoint presentations to connect to classroom Smart boards. Sometimes when students want to draw or build certain things, they like to see an image of it for inspiration.
Having this mobile computer will be a great accessory to have when on the go and it will also allow me to keep track of student grades and art work on the ARTSONIA website.
It will allow my 900+ art students and I access to a working computer, up to date information, and expand our capabilities as artists by incorpoarting a technological aspect. I thank you in advance. This will be a great help!
