My middle school students are in need of a computer to publish a student newspaper. Students from the 6th to 8th grade are interested in the arts and using a newspaper to showcase students each month.
With the budget cuts affecting all schools it is impossible to purchase a computer for the newspaper team to use technology in publishing a school newspaper.
Students meet biweekly researching, writing and publishing a monthly newspaper. A computer of their own to use would allow students to meet deadlines required to publish the monthly newspaper.
Our middle school is a title 1 school with students not having the benefits of technology necessary to create a newspaper they are worthy of.
