Laptop Charging Cart for Technology Exploration Students
My students need to have a laptop charging cart in the hope of having classroom laptops some day.

My Students
My Technology Exploration students are energetic and full of life. They come from many ethnic backgrounds and experiences, and our school is quite diverse. My students are savvy with electronic technology, for the most part, and most of them enjoy building things in our classroom shop. Woodworking is most popular, but the students get experiences in metalworking and plastic-working, too. Also, my students are beginning to learn the skills of solid modeling on the computer, drawing some of the objects they build.
My Project
Having a laptop charging cart that belongs to our classroom will be the start to obtaining a classroom set of 10 laptops. We have a PC lab in our classroom with 15 new PCs, but some of my classes are larger than 15 and some are less, and it's hard for students to share a computer. By having a class set of 10 laptops with the 15 PCs all students will be able to work independently on their own device. This helps with classroom management. We do not have the laptops yet, but obtaining the 12-station charging cart will be a wonderful start to helping this idea come to fruition.
