Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach kindergarten at a Title I school. The majority of our students receive free or reduced-price lunch and come from low socioeconomic backgrounds. A high percentage of the students in my class are ESOL (English for Students of Other Languages), as well as some students with special needs.
My students come from diverse backgrounds, and I love to foster their uniqueness.
They all bring something special to our classroom. They have limited resources at home, and my goal is to provide them with the resources needed to succeed.
My Project
We need to store our laptops safely and securely inside of my classroom. We have limited space, and there are not too many options when it comes to locking up the laptops. Also, we are not allowed to use power strips in our outlets. This means I would only be able to charge a few laptops at a time. The laptop cart would satisfy all of these problems and would ensure that these laptops are protected and safe so that they last many years.
A Laptop charging station will teach students organizational skills, and give them quicker access to the technology they need to be successful.
Technology is an essential part of the world we live in. To help my students become successful, they need to know how to use and care for technology. This charging cart will help my students do this and save room as well!
Please consider helping us! We would greatly appreciate it.
