This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am in need of a laptop that holds a charge to improve my teaching skills. I work in an urban district and we constantly participate in online professional development which usually lags or disconnects due to the Chromebooks supplied to us. We also utilize technology in our daily routines by posting in our classrooms and showing educational videos.

By having a laptop that is actually capable, I can receive quality professional development that I can utilize in my classroom and in turn, my students will benefit.

I teach Spanish, Science, Math and work with a mixed population of English Language Learners and Special Education students as well. I am trying my best as a teacher to improve my instruction so I can try and close the gap in deficiencies caused by Covid-19 remote instruction. There are many online classes that I would like to register for during the course of the school year to help me overcome some of these challenges. Having this laptop will be the first step in conquering these challenges that I have had to endure these past few years.
