My Project

First graders need movement and opportunities to work in comfortable spaces. Lap desks are a great option! These desks allow students to organize their materials, have a hard surface to support writing, while encouraging movement, space, and choice with where to work. Lap desks also support teaching small groups on the rug as an alternative to working at tables, which many students find motivating.

My first graders are hard working and enthusiastic learners who would love having more choices as to where to work!

They often work in partnerships and need more options as to where to collaborate, as table spaces around the classroom are often filled up quickly.
