This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are amazing! They try hard and always want to reach their full potential. However, the resources in our school can be scarce. Many of my students are far below grade level and need added support and resources in order to reach grade level standards.
My classroom is diverse.
As an ICT (Integrated Co-Teaching) class, we have students of varying ability levels who require diverse instruction and varied materials to meet their individual needs. Teachers are given a very limited amount of money to purchase materials for the classroom. Unfortunately, this doesn't come close to covering what our classroom really needs.
My Project
My students love to make key chains using lanyard in the cafeteria during lunch time. We have a school store where students can shop using PBIS Paws they earn throughout the school, as an incentive for positive student behavior. Our store is run by donations. My students would like the opportunity to donate the key chains to the store in an effort to promote positive behavior in our school community.
