This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our urban middle school takes pride in respecting people, property, the ideas of others and always trying our best. Our students always try their best to be present in class and respect one another. Our school consist of a diverse population which brings many perspectives.
My students are bright English language learners who come from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
Many of the students come to school ready to learn and work hard but the economic disadvantages can limit our students who struggle to find the resources needed outside of the classroom.
My Project
The materials and tools I am requesting will provide my students with a new engaging way of learning! The whiteboards will allow my students to work together on activities. It will allow me to see what they are doing and see how they are doing. Many of the other tools with help my students improve their language skills. For example, the sentence building strips will help my students practice building proper sentences and use punctuation.
By donating to our project, you will not only improve their language skills, you will provide them with hands on learning materials!
Students will be able to use these tools to help them every day in class. It will give them the opportunity to have a break from technology and take advantage of the physical materials that will benefit them.
