My Students
I am a speech-language pathologist who provides therapy to 3-5 year old students. We serve a dynamic community with broad diversity in cultures, religions, ethnic groups, races, and socioeconomic levels.
Our program prides itself on integrating therapy into our classrooms, so that students may continue to learn, grow, and communicate with their peers while benefiting from speech-language services.
Our speech and language groups bring students with similar communication goals together to work on speech and language skills. This helps students to realize that they are not alone when working on their communication skills. Our students enjoy learning through literacy and play!
My Project
The students in our developmental preschool classrooms and speech and language groups benefit from hands-on activities and visual supports when learning new speech and language skills.
The felt board and puppets will keep my students engaged during literacy activities and bring the books we read to life.
These materials will help me target a variety of language skills, including story retell, answering questions, and learning new vocabulary. I will use these materials while introducing my students to classic fairy tales, including Little Red Riding Hood, Goldilocks and the Three Bears, and The Three Little Pigs.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
