Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I work for some the kindest and considerate elementary school students. I interact daily with students and parents who work very hard to ensure that education is a priority. Some students come from homes where English is not the primary language.
They all have a sincere desire to learn but language barriers can sometimes get in the way.
Students are sponges are learn so much easily and naturally at a young age. There is no fear! Language barriers are but a challenge that they do not stop them from moving forward and working hard.
My Project
I want to be able to connect with bilingual students and parents by eliminating language barriers and I will continue to learn and utilize the Spanish language.
With hard work and determination, I can do it!
I just need the tools to support this desire to be able to connect deeper with students in the classroom. This will allow me to grow as a professional. Using Ouino Spanish program coupled with Living Language Spanish will break down barriers and build a better bridge to communication. It will broaden and deepen my cultural experiences and I will better serve the community of which I am now a part of.
