My students need a complete set of language centers, like puzzles and sorting mats, a set of reading activity boxes, and 4 educational CD's to help them develop language skills.

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Do you know what it is like to be able to communicate but not have the words to do so? My students are eager to learn and communicate but need that extra assistance in doing so because they have not quite developed according to their age.
Some of the grade level curriculum is way too advanced for them but they try their best to focus through a lesson.
I have taught them to request a break whenever they are feeling overwhelmed with a lesson in order to relieve some anxiety, but we don't have many resources they can go to during their breaks.
My Project
The language learning centers will help my students develop language skills while they take a break from a tough assignment. They will be able to choose a center that will help them develop sight words, alphabet recognition or basic vocabulary, but the most importantly they'll be having fun at the same time.
This project is very important for my special education kindergarten class because they need that extra support to help them develop language skills that most of us take for granted.
