My Students

With technology capturing the attention of children, it is important to use it in a way that equips them with tools to be effective learners.

Many of my students come from economically disadvantaged families.

One of their biggest challenges is having the resources to grow as students and citizens of their community. They need opportunities to build their background knowledge by using materials and strategies to help them succeed now and in the years to come.

My Project

Some of the language arts materials give students the power to use computers to practice skills needed to succeed as readers. Other resources requested allow them to enhance learning through reading activities by themselves as well as with partners. Students find language art centers helpful when they get stuck on a concept and they use their journals to reflect on their successes as well as their needs for improvement.

Your donations directly provide the necessary resources at a time when budget restrictions severely limit materials available for our school.

With your support, students gain tools that they use to learn and equip themselves with the necessary skills to succeed in the future.
