My students have various learning styles. I feel that having actual instruments that they can play will afford students opportunities to explore a new language and culture in ways that will be beneficial to them. Learning a new language through music helps with the development of reading, writing, listening and speaking.
These instruments will give students an opportunity to experience the Spanish language and culture through authentic materials.
Students will have the opportunity to play an authentic instrument as they listen to music in another language. Students will be able to feel pride by being an active part of their own second language experience.
