This is my fifth year in this wonderfully rewarding profession, and I am beyond excited to continue teaching fifth-grade math and science.
My students are so dedicated to their learning and education.
My students deserve anything and everything that will continue to inspire them. Their passion for mathematical conceptual understanding is unmatched! They are constantly challenging themselves through questioning. Their interest in science exploded during the first few months of the year. They loved learning about the seasons, Earth's tilt, and the sun. It led to space exploration and students inspiring one another to dig deeper into the universe.
My students are funny, understand my sense of humor, and most days are spent laughing and smiling while learning, taking brain breaks, and socializing. They are working on improving positive social interactions. We came so far this year.
My Project
Class jobs are an integral part of classroom community, building relationships, and establishing responsibility within a fifth grade classroom. My class jobs are facilitated through leadership teams, and the students work together to complete various responsibilities. One of the teams is Teacher Team, and laminator is their favorite class job available. I watch students work through conversations and vie for this position each week. However, we experience lots of jamming issues and as a result, some student work was ruined.
Our class needs a new laminator with no jam technology so student's can effectively complete their responsibilities.
We laminate student work, their creations in art, math materials, science resources, and items for the wall to support their learning. The fifth graders get excited to laminate, and a no-jam laminator plus sheets will be perfect to facilitate this class job effectively.
