This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am a Math Lab teacher at a high poverty school. I teach about 630 students each week. I visit 21 classrooms each week with students in Kindergarten to Third grade. I want my students to be able to participate in educational activities and games that can be fun and used over and over.
The 630 diverse students that I teach weekly enjoy Math Lab.
The students come from hard working families in Chicago. They are very focused and love learning. They get quite excited about games and activities that allow them to practice skills in a creative and fun way.
My Project
I feel that this laminator will help my teaching by allowing me to create activities and games that can be laminated, saved and used again. This classroom tool will also save me time from traveling to a store to laminate these items. My students will be able to learn in a fun and exciting way, while also building team building skills. All of my students will learn with laminated activities and games, especially my kinesthetic learners and those who have difficulty focusing on topics in their seats.
