This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In my classroom, I use a laminator for a variety of reasons. We do small group instruction for English Language Arts and Math. I try to make engaging resources that I can reuse each year. For our small groups, I laminate different learning materials that the students can use with a variety of materials. This helps me create more meaningful and memorable learning experiences for the students.

For example, I plan to laminate letter cards and then add hot glue to the letters, so that when we practice, we can engage in a multimodal way.

In addition to this, when I create colorful resources to display on the walls, I like to laminate them so they can withstand students touching them. It also makes our name tags durable enough to withstand paint, markers, play doh, and more.
