Laminator for Preserving Art and Creating Interactive, Reusable Instructional Resources
Help me give my students a laminator machine,laminator sheets and dry erase markers for creating hands on instructional materials that are highly engaging and reusable in all classes.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our art students pour their hearts into creating beautiful works of art, from intricate drawings to vibrant paintings, but these masterpieces often become worn, torn, or damaged over time. A scotch laminator would allow us to preserve student artwork, protecting their creative expressions for years to come. This preservation is especially important for our portfolio-building high school students who need to maintain their best work for college applications, and for our younger artists who love sharing their art with family members through seasonal projects and gifts.
The laminator will also enable us to create durable art resources that can be used repeatedly throughout the school year, such as reference guides for color theory, step-by-step drawing instructions, and art vocabulary flash cards.
As an art teacher in a Title I school, I strive to provide my students with the best possible resources while working within budget constraints. Your support in funding this laminator will impact over 400 students annually, helping them protect their artistic achievements and access high-quality learning materials that can withstand daily use in our busy art classroom.
