This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

This year I will be teaching Pre-K students. These smart little learners will come into the class full of curiosity for the new experiences they will explore each day. I teach in a Title I school in New York City and the students come from many diverse and economic backgrounds. Some of my students are from South America, Asia, and Europe.

These little learners will come to school eager to explore, play, learn, and work together.

I want the students in my class to get excited about working together, sharing ideas, and doing fun class projects.

I really try to make our classroom like a family unit which is caring, nurturing, and respectful. I want my young smart learners to appreciate each other and their learning environment from the very start.

My Project

Our young learners create beautiful artwork on a daily basis. Having a laminator in the classroom would help to preserve their artwork and projects so they can save these beautiful memories.

For our young learners expressing themselves through art is a memorable part of their day.

Our young learners are encouraged to explore their creativity as much as they can.

A laminator will also help me create sturdy hands-on learning materials which can be used during our daily center time. This will give all students the opportunity to use these materials to explore and learn; and they will last for a long time.

A daily attendance chart will help our students keep track of their friends who are present or absent throughout the day. An important part of our day is our morning circle time where we greet each of our young students. Our young learners refer to the attendance chart throughout the day as a visual to remind them who is at home and who is at school.
