Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My name is Daniel Silva , and I have been instructing for 5 years. The following is the reason why I need the materials I am requesting.

In my classroom, I strive to create an environment where students feel supported, motivated, and excited to learn.

One of the best ways to do this is by providing durable and engaging instructional materials that students can use over and over again. A laminator and laminating pouches may seem like small items, but they make a big difference in how I am able to prepare resources that stand the test of time.

With these tools, I can transform simple worksheets, charts, and flashcards into reusable learning aids. Instead of printing new materials every few weeks, I can laminate them and use them year after year, saving both time and resources. This not only stretches my classroom budget further but also ensures that students always have access to clean, sturdy materials that don’t fall apart after repeated use.

Laminating also allows me to provide hands-on learning experiences. For example, students can use dry-erase markers on laminated practice sheets for math problems, vocabulary games, or interactive activities. This makes learning more engaging while reducing paper waste. In addition, preserving anchor charts, reference guides, and classroom rules in a laminated format means they stay visible and intact throughout the entire school year, no matter how many curious hands touch them.

By supporting this project, you are helping me create a classroom filled with long-lasting, reusable, and motivating materials that directly support student success. Every laminated resource becomes an opportunity for students to engage in meaningful learning, practice essential skills, and feel proud of their growth. These materials will not only benefit my current students but many classes to come.
