My kids love to share all that they create. They share with each other, friends, and family. Yet, we have noticed that our work is not able to withstand the wear and tear of my students' lives. If we were to protect the work with a laminate we are sure to have it around for a long time.
My students are my children!
I treat them as they are anyway. They make me smile. I love the creativity that exists in them. My school is in a high poverty area, we do not have much. We have the basics and that is hard to come by. That does not stop my kids from learning! They are excited to share, learn, and share some more!
My Project
The laminator would allow my students to bring home their art, essays, math work, or whatever else they are proud of and want to share with their friends and family, without it getting destroyed. The laminator will protect their work for years to come. They will be able to look back at it and feel proud of the work they have done.
Any time I can make my kids feel good about themselves and build up their self esteem, is a win for them and I alike!
My kids will be able to mail their work to their families in other countries, (which many of them have done, and want to do again!). I know that they will show off their work with pride and feel confident that it is safe, even from little siblings hands.
