My Students
Whether it's in the classroom or day-to-day life, my students face challenges with exuberance and determination. My twenty kindergarten students are highly culturally diverse, many of them second language learners, who come together with their broad life experiences to learn. Most of these children live lives near or below the poverty line, but it never seems to dull their smiles.
School is a safe haven for my children.
At our school, students are immersed in a life of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. I have the privilege of exposing them to hands-on projects that will help shape these children into the great thinkers, mathematicians, inventors, and engineers of tomorrow!
My Project
While laminate pouches may not seem like the most exciting thing in the classroom, these things are critical in the kindergarten classroom. They help me to create fun and engaging, hands on centers for both math and literacy, as well as STEM and beyond. Laminate pouches ensure the activities create will endure through many hours of play. It also allows me to use Velcro and add to my students fine motor and sensory exposure. Play is at the heart of learning in kindergarten! These pouches will help to ensure continued play and a wide variety of activities for my kindergartners.
