My Students
I teach PreK to a wonderful and amazing group of kids at a Title I school. I love working with my kids and seeing them learn and grow throughout the school year. My favorite part is to watch them grow from little people who don't even know their name to independent thinkers ready for anything. I want to ensure that I can continue to work with my students using amazing hands-on materials that they love. With your help, this can continue.
My Project
My preschoolers love the great outdoors and they love exploring. We will be exploring transformations in one of our upcoming units of study. My preschool students are in need of butterfly and ladybug larvae, and counters.
My students will use insects to build upon our transformation unit.
The students will learn about the life cycles of insects and many animals. We will read stories and use activities to reinforce learning.
By being exposed to the life cycle of insects and the terminology regarding them at an early age, my preschool students may be lead into the field of science which might even include the field of entomology.
