My Students
Do you remember when you first saw a computer in school when YOU were a student? The computers were gigantic, stone-age like machines. That is what our current computer situation looks like; our computer is so slow that we can barely start it, and the monitor changes colors.
I teach in a Talented and Gifted school in a high needs community.
Since we are a gifted school, we have students that commute from different parts of the city, as well as from out of state! These kids need a functioning computer to use on a daily basis!
My Project
I am requesting a functioning laptop and printer supplies for my students to use, The laptop and printer resources will help my students become more comfortable with using the computer. The laptop will allow the students to conduct research on the computer (for various projects) and type up the work that they do. They will be able to proofread and edit that work, and be able to actually print their work to share with others in our class!
Many of my students don't have Internet access, or even own a computer at home.
It is unfortunate for those students especially, when they cannot access a functioning computer in school. That is why, your contributions will make our classroom an amazing, resourceful place!
