It is amazing to witness the challenges my students encounter in their daily lives but they have the desire and dreams to overcome their trials and tribulations.
My students consist of sophomore, juniors and seniors in high school.
These students are very ambitious and attend a career and technical high school. This school is more challenging then a regular high school and my students graduate with more credits than the standard. Not only do they take all of the rigorous academic classes, they also are required to take career oriented courses for the full four years of school.
My Project
The laptop that I am hoping to acquire will give my students ample opportunities to prepare for college entry exams by accessing SAT exam sample questions on the internet. It will also give them a resource to visit college websites and try to find which colleges they might like to attend and what the requirements are to attend, hence giving them goals.
Many of my current, as well as, previous students come to me before school even starts to seek guidance regarding their college future.
This laptop will help assist them in answering many of their questions about college, along with preparing them for their SAT and ACT exams. It will also assist them in setting goals for their high school career that will help them prepare for the expectations of colleges.
