Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

A typical day in my classroom consists of students checking in on the classroom website, coding, scanning and creating QR codes, creating, editing and publishing content on our classroom website.

Students have access to headphones, iPads, computers, styluses and even a few Sphero robots.

My room is a wonderland of technology tools. Students use these technology tools to build vital 21st-century digital literacy skills: computer science, coding, robotics, and creating and publishing multimedia content.

My students are full of dreams and hope for the future. They are hungry to use the tools of their time and to use technology as a powerful thinking, learning and content creation tool. Most of my students don't have Internet at home, and for some, the only time they use computers is in my classroom. I feel a deep responsibility to help my students become comfortable and competent using top quality technology tools.

My Project

My students use 3D printers and styluses and iPads and have a lot of materials to keep track of. Labels will make it much easier for students to keep track of supplies. If they print a 3D model, they can label it. They can label their styluses and iPads. This will make it much easier to keep track of everything in the classroom and will help eliminate time lost when students are searching for their assigned materials. The labeling equipment in this DonorsChoose project will allow students to print easy to read labels - up to one inch in height.
