This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our students are hard-working and unbelievably loving. They pour their hearts into their learning each day at our fantastic elementary school.

We as a campus strive to have a positive and caring culture with a focus on inclusiveness and active involvement.

We have many after-school clubs and encourage 100% of our student body to participate. This means we have a very active vibrant student body.

Contributing to this project will increase our student's learning with exciting vibrant new library materials.

My Project

Students read the library. They use labels and signs to help them navigate the shelves and find that perfect book to select and take home. By donating to this project, you are directly helping to provide up-to-date labels that all students will see and use as guideposts when freely selecting their books during library time.

Scanning the shelves for new reads is not the only scanning students do when visiting the library.

I encourage all of my students starting in Kindergarten to check out their own books at the circulation desk. Having a new cordless scanner will help students develop their independence and skills in operating the computer software for the book check-out process.
