My Project

Every year, I try to save time when setting up our interactive notebooks. Every child has five notebooks that need to be labeled and filled with anchor charts, reference bookmarks, study aids, and homework for the entire year. I am requesting this label printer and thermal labels because these shipping labels can be pre-printed and my students only need to peel and stick inside of their notebooks. It will save time because we can eliminate glue sticks and scissors. The prize wheel will be used to review decoding and encoding sounds and words. Students will spin the wheel before entering and exiting the class, and where it lands, they will practice blending and segmenting.

Our core values of academics, community, pride, and justice allow us to advocate for all within this urban neighborhood by extending compassion and partnering with families to nurture lifelong learners, critical thinkers, and responsible citizens through STEM/STEAM, performing arts, visual arts, athletics, coding, computer science (CS), financial literacy, and mental health/social-emotional learning (SEL). We receive federal funding for programs that provide free breakfast/lunch for every student and Title I services to economically disadvantaged individuals. Our inclusive class serves military families, gifted/talented students, ESL/ELL students, special education students, and tech-savvy students.
