Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are special because they are ready to start creating school memories. They are energetic and ready to explore new things. What makes them special is their eagerness to learn and try new things. In all, what makes them really special is that I have a group of diverse learners, and I admire their ability to cooperate and work with each other.
My students come from a low socioeconomic community and exposing them to a variety of topics is not only my job but my duty.
My Project
The materials will provide opportunities for my students to practice different academic and more importantly social-emotional skills. They need to learn how to make good decisions, understand their own emotion and self-control.
Learning to understand their emotions and labeling them will help students make good decisions and choices.
Therefore, these materials will provide ample opportunities and different modalities to acquire such skills.
In addition, these materials will enhance academic areas such as math and language arts, which students need many opportunities to practice using different engaging activities to personalize learning.
