My students need to have lab supplies to create hands on experiences in the classroom lab.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Medrano's classroom raised $221

My Students
I teach in a low-income/high poverty school complex; my students are faced with constant challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking forward to keep things engaging and provide them with meaningful learning experiences.
My middle school students struggle to find their place in the world.
All of them receive a free lunch based on socioeconomic status of our school. These things may prevent them from getting ahead early in life and may not provide them with the life experiences many of us see as "typical."
If the opportunity to share the outside world is available to my students, I will help them see their options and see the world inside and outside of the community.
My Project
My students are in need of new beakers, stop watches, thermometers, compasses and batteries in order to create their own labs!
Many of the equipment is in need of replacement and students will benefit from the supplies that are not cracked, leaking and fresh to use.
We work with the supplies we have but the idea of replacing the older out of date or broken supplies is always on my mind. My students will be over the moon if they had fresh lab ware and simple things that make them feel like they are work in a real science lab class.
More than half of students from low‑income households
