My Project

This project is a long-term dream to create a science lab-style classroom in an elementary school. My students are energetic, curious learners who thrive in interactive, engaging spaces. They’re always ready for a challenge, whether we’re diving into science experiments, engaging in group discussions, or pursuing project-based learning. With limited resources, we’re always looking for creative ways to enhance our learning environment, and that’s where this project comes in!

To bring learning to life, we’re transforming our classroom into a science lab-themed, game-inspired, collaborative space.

This project features two key elements: The Diversified Science Lab Workstations provide students with a hands-on space for labs, experiments, and group collaboration. With built-in power outlets and locking drawers, this sturdy table ensures students have safe, functional workspaces for science and STEM-based learning.

Signature Design by Ashley Bolanburg Barstools provide flexible seating that complements our lab theme. These comfortable, counter-height stools will be used during team challenges, science demonstrations, and small-group activities, giving students a fun and functional place to engage in learning.

These upgrades will help foster creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking, especially as we blend academic rigor with real-world, hands-on experiences. Whether they’re building circuits, modeling ecosystems, or solving classroom "quests," students will have the space they need to thrive.

With your support, we can make this transformation possible and provide students with an environment that reflects the excitement of discovery and teamwork.

Once funded, I’ll work with my students to assemble the furniture and rearrange our space to reflect a fully functioning “learning lab.” We’ll document the process and share photos and reflections on how the new workspace supports our academic goals and brings our game-based learning theme to life. Go Science!
