This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Help me fund this hands-on lab experiment for my students involving owl pellets. Students will be learning about food chains, webs, and pyramids. My students will study how these things all contribute to the transfer of energy within all ecosystems. Students will be able to explore and analyze their owl pellets in order to see what a top predator, such as the owl, consumes.
My students will gain a better understanding and have hands-on experience in identifying what a raptor bird eats in order to survive.
This lab will help my students apply the knowledge that they have gained from our unit on Energy Transfer in Ecosystems and put together the skeletal remains of the critters found in the pellets.
My students are inquisitive, driven, and love science! Help us make this lab experiment a reality for an amazing group of students!
