This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our students are all freshmen students who are in biology class. They are living on the southeast side of Chicago and attending a neighborhood high school.
Over the course of their freshmen year, the students grow a huge love for science!
We hope that their love continues as they go on to college and their future careers.
My Project
This project is requesting a lab cart made for science classrooms. This lab cart will help students engaged in a multiple labs.
We need the cart to be able to move materials for labs that require chemicals, microscopes, and dissection materials.
The cart is needed to move supplies from storage closet to the classroom to make sure the supplies are available for the labs. Some of the classrooms are really far from the storage closet, so this cart makes these labs possible.
Our students love feeling like scientists and these labs really help them do that.
