My Project
I'm requesting Kwik Stix for our painting center. These unique painting sticks are a great tool for students to explore painting and drawing in a neat, controlled, art making process. The arts teach so many important lessons. I watch as my students become more confident and learn to take chances. They learn that, at times, there is no right answer and that thinking creatively can help you understand many ways to solve a problem. The materials that you will be funding will help my students learn how to explore materials and techniques at their own pace. We recently rearranged the entire art room so that our students experience a true studio experience. The students now work in the Drawing, Painting or Sculpture centers/studios. The Kwik Stix are a fun tool for painting, poster making and experimenting with color mixing. Some students don't like painting because it can often be messy and hard to control. These painting sticks make it easy to explore painting without the mess. The requested kits have a great selection of colors.
