Everyday students come to music class and build the foundation for music to be part of their entire lives. We sing, dance, play, perform, and create.
The students in my schools range from kindergarten to 5th grade.
They love expressing themselves and creating music on their own. The connections they make between home and school continue to drive their desire to explore music and their own personal identities.
My Project
By purchasing these ukuleles, students will be able to expand upon their current abilities with the few instruments we currently have. Since we have a limited number of ukuleles, the parts students learn must be simple and easy to pick up as they do not have a chance to develop the skills before sharing the instrument.
Students will get a taste for their ability to produce their own music.
The ability to accompany oneself is one of the strongest determinants in a person's continuation with musical expression. Since they will have more opportunity to grow, they are more likely to continue in expressing themselves.
