My Students

I work in a Title 1 school located on the southside of Chicago. Ninety-five percent of the students the school come from homes of very low socio-economic conditions. The students enjoy coming to school everyday because they are very enthusiastic to learn something different. The students are eager to grow academically and I want to do whatever it takes for that to occur.

My biggest problem is the students learning modalities, because of this I need to always do things differently.

We need resources that can cater to all of the students learning modalities.

My Project

The use of a projector and laptop will allow my students to view historical videos and analyze for educational purposes. These tools will allow my students to view power point presentations as well as create their own presentations. Because we live in a technology driven society our students need to have the experience of educational technology in their everyday lives.

My project will enhance my students knowledge as well as open opportunities for technological growth.

We are not at the technological level needed to compete with our peers across this great state. This grant will allow us in the same ballpark as our peers.
