My Project

Our class is filled with an amazing group of kindergarteners! They are inquisitive, imaginative, energetic, and empathetic! This year our school is implementing a new program that helps build students' background information to enhance their knowledge and support their learning. The program contains read-alouds, questioning, and vocabulary practice, but would benefit from hands-on, exploratory support.

I would like to provide materials for my students to explore and play with during each knowledge unit.

After learning about kings and queens, my kindergarteners would be able to use the castle blocks to design and build a castle of their own. They could then use the play castle to reenact and role-play. The horse stable, farm magna tiles, and books would extend our farm unit that teaches about different animals, crops, and the products we get from farms.

The materials in this project will give my kinders the opportunity to learn, collaborate, and be creative! Thank you for your consideration.
